2010

A single-channel experimental documentary video, the work explores the topic of human use and possession of animals and plastics. The project combines footage shot in Barcelona with audio responses from eight people to the following questionnaire:

• Do you, or have you ever possessed or used animals?
• Do you, or have you ever possessed or used plastics?
• How many of each do you posses now, and how many over the span of you’re life?
• How often do you come in contact with animals?
• How often do you come in contact with plastics?
• Do you ever feel guilty about using or possessing animals?
• Do you ever feel guilty about using or possessing plastics?
• How do you imagine your life would be without using animals?
• How do you imagine your life would be without using plastics?
• How has your life benefited from using or possessing animals?
• How has your life benefited from using or possessing plastics?
• If you had to choose between giving up using plastics, or giving up using animals forever, which would you choose and why?
• Do you feel like you have or had other options in regards to both, and if so, what prevents or prevented you from choosing alternatives?
• Gandhi once said, "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” Do you agree with this statement?
• Do you think the same could be said for our use of plastics?
