Constellations

In 2017, I attended an Artist-in-Residence program at the Pyramid Atlantic Arts Center just outside of Washington D.C. While there, I initiated a series of works which illustrate the fraught relationship between animals and humans and question humankind’s dominion. The finished series consists of sixteen works: seven paintings on paper that depict animal constellations in the night sky, overlaid with text; seven duplicate prints, blind embossed on white paper; and two large paintings executed on laser cut MDF.
